A Sensory Brunch Journey: Cowema Studio at Gaggenau's Immersive Experience

A Sensory Brunch Journey: Cowema Studio at Gaggenau's Immersive Experience

“A Sensory Brunch Journey” the long table.

On the morning of 23 July 2026, Cowema Studio received an invitation to something rather unusual: “A Sensory Brunch Journey,” an intimate gathering hosted by Gaggenau at the Bottega&Artisan showroom in Alam Sutera.

Rani Pudji, Senior Interior Designer.

Represented by our senior interior designer, Rani Pudji, we joined around thirty architects, interior designers, and fellow design practitioners for a private morning built around one idea: that taste and scent are, in truth, the same memory, and that a brunch could be composed the way a fragrance is, note by note.

Bottega&Artisan’s Showroom

The setting made that idea easy to believe. Bottega&Artisan’s three-storey gallery of premium materials and luxury fixtures, its sculptural crystal chandeliers, hand-finished stone slabs, and a cascade of glass discs suspended above the staircase, framed a single long table dressed for the occasion.

Chefs Ashley Widjaja and Greg Bartolotta

What followed was brunch reimagined as theatre. Chefs Ashley Widjaja and Greg Bartolotta cooked live on Gaggenau’s own appliances, roasting whole chickens and finishing sauces just steps from the guests, while perfumer Albert Setyapranata of Euodia Home composed a bespoke fragrance for every course, so that scent always reached the table a breath ahead of flavor.

The Menu’s

The menu unfolded in three movements. A poached white fish opened the meal, its citrusy andaliman and floral kecombrang fragrance sharpening the appetite before the first bite. A duo of roasted chicken breast and thigh roulade followed, released alongside warm notes of genmaicha, clove, and oolong. A vanilla panna cotta closed the journey, its scent of lemon cookie butter and rosewater lingering gently after the last spoonful, a soft finish to a meal built as much on memory as on flavor.

A natural spray perfume by Euodia

Between courses, guests held up individual scent strips, tracing each note before it ever reached the plate, a small ritual that turned eating into discovery. At the close of the brunch, every guest took home a keepsake: a natural spray perfume by Euodia, distilling three of the morning’s signature notes into a single bottle, a fragrant memory to carry beyond the table.

A Sensory Brunch Journey

Beyond the menu, the morning’s true gift was time: unhurried conversation with fellow designers and architects, the kind of easy networking that rarely happens over a rushed lunch. For Cowema Studio, it was a fitting reminder that craftsmanship, whether found in a dish, a fragrance, or a material, is always better experienced in good company.
