Something felt wonderfully different at The Cut Kitchen showroom in Jakarta Design Center that evening. The rich aroma of freshly baked lasagna mingled with the clanking of cocktail glasses, bringing genuine warmth to a space typically defined by the sleek sheen of marble and refined timber. That evening, The Cut—a luxury kitchen brand hailing from Veneto, Italy, renowned as a “voice outside the chorus” for its bold departure from conventional market trends—officially celebrated its debut in Indonesia.
Martin Lim
This milestone entry was spearheaded by Martin Lim, Experience Design Curator Director at PT Progetto Arte Studio, who brought the brand’s distinctive philosophy across continents for the very first time. Joining him for the occasion were Fabio Setten, CEO of The Cut Kitchen, and Alessandro Isola, the brand’s Art Director and architect, both of whom flew directly from Italy to mark the brand’s official arrival.

The Cut Kitchen at JDC
Far more than a showroom launch, the opening party served as a reminder that the finest kitchens are not merely defined by luxury, but by their ability to bring people together. And now, that philosophy has found its new home in Jakarta.
