Wood Elements Are Combined With Monochromatic Colors In Every Room

JG House is a 4-story residence built on land measuring 15 X 30 sqm located in Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta. Multi-story housing is a solution that can provide added value to buildings on limited land. In addition, terraced houses also allow us to create a more optimal interior layout.

Designed in a contemporary style, JG House has an exterior visual with strong vertical lines. The repeated application of rectangular shapes in the façade makes this residence visually appealing as well as attractive.

Also not left behind is the selection of monochromatic colors that dominate the facade, where the combination of neatly arranged wooden materials at the top makes the appearance of the residence more aesthetic. The pieces of wood that are used as trellises also serve more than just decorative elements. The trellis functions as a secure medium, and air circulation pathway, as well as providing privacy to the occupants.

In the living room or family room area, we apply fine polished black granite for the floor. Then, we combined it with wooden walls on one side and white walls on several other parts. Not only that, this area was deliberately designed with light-colored furniture to create an attractive contrast. Equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the outdoor area, the family room is also a comfortable gathering place. What’s more, large openings allow natural light to enter the room optimally.

Again, wood elements are combined with monochromatic colors in every room in JG House. Starting from the living room, and dining area, to the bedroom. In addition to strengthening the contemporary-modern concept that is carried, the use of this color makes it easier for us and the occupants to combine it with other furniture.

Consistent application of contrasting and monochromatic colors continues to the rooms on the upper floors, including the bedrooms, and stairs, as well as circulation between rooms and towards the elevator. This implementation ultimately creates the impression of a masculine, simple, yet elegant space.

Interestingly, the play of light and dark in each part of JG House is deliberately designed to create a different atmosphere.

It doesn’t stop there, so that the residence’s appearance becomes more dynamic, we collaborate with the dominant yellow lighting in JG House. Yellow lights not only liven up the atmosphere of the space but also create a warm and soft effect. Especially when applied to bedrooms and living rooms, the light can give a comfortable and friendly impression to anyone in the room. Uniquely, the yellow color in the light also focuses on objects or areas exposed to the light. Material details will look sharper and more artistic.

In the end, every room becomes more lively but still comfortable to live in.
